Customer Review: Bargain in a great universal remote
I bought this remote to replace an exact duplicate that had worn out due to LOTS of use. It works great! I’ve tried a lot of universal remotes before finding this one that does a great job at a very reasonable price. The replacement went flawlessly as well. I just plugged the new remote into my PC and fired up the software. It detected it and allowed me to load my old programming in about 2 minutes. I was up and running that quick. I highly recommend if you are looking for a universal remote for a low price. The macro functions are great for setting up multiple devices with a single button click.
Customer Review: Easy To Set Up
It took me some time to set this puppy up. I have this controlling my TV, my Digital Cable Box, Xbox 360 (With HD-DVD Drive), my HDMI Switch and finally my remote control fan. It is incredible, on how, with a little trial and error, the remote will turn on the TV, and the xbox, then select the correct input on the TV and the correct input on my HDMI. Once all of those are up, it will go down to the bottom of my xbox guide and select the HD-Drive. If there is a movie, the movie will begin, else it will eject the tray asking for a movie. All with ONE button press and about 30 seconds of patience.
Am I lazy, yes, but it is darn cool. My only complaint, sometimes you have to press the buttons harder than you should. And sometimes when you set up a device, you have to add buttons to the menu, which isnt difficult but none the less, like the other devices, I didnt think I needed to tell someone that I needed a power button for my fan?!?!?.
Alas, I did set it up, and it took some time, but it was well worth it.
